As an extension to the PortWise Access Manager, PortWise Mobile Office enables easy and secure mobile synchronization of corporate email, calendar and contact information to any PC, PDA or ActiveSync enabled handheld device. PortWise Mobile Office is a flexible and scalable software solution capable of delivering any Microsoft Exchange application, such as Outlook RPC over HTTPS, Outlook Web Access (OWA), Outlook Mobile Access (OMA), and ActiveSync to any device with an Internet connection.
Convenient
No proprietary client software is needed on the user device, as the secure communication is handled by the built-in web browser or ActiveSync client. This clientless solution allows for a broad client platform support while ensuring a low TCO by eliminating the need for client software distribution.
Secure
With PortWise Mobile Office, the Microsoft Exchange infrastructure can safely reside on the corporate internal network, protected from direct external access. To make sure only authenticated users get access, PortWise Mobile Office utilizes built-in mechanisms for strong authentication and role-based access. To accommodate the security issue related to cached user credentials on lost or stolen devices, PortWise Mobile Office includes a device lock mechanism that attaches a unique mobile device to each user. If a device gets lost or stolen, it can easily be disabled to prevent further access.
Scalable
PortWise Mobile Office is a highly scalable software solution capable of handling up to tens of thousands of users in one single system. Strong Active Directory integration allows for efficient large-scale deployment with no or very limited end-user administration.

ActiveSync client. 3rd party ActiveSync clients are available for: Symbian S80, Symbian S60, Symbian UIQ, Palm OS,
Windows Mobile and Windows PocketPC.
